Services: Temporary shelter for families with minor children for up to a month rotating with different churches within Grayson County, case management, help find housing, financial Education, meals, baby supplies, medical care, personal hygiene

Grayson Crisis Center

Location: 4200 N Travis St. Sherman, TX 75092

Shelter Services: Emergency shelter for family violence and sexual assault, Housing Options, Employment, Legal Services/Protective Orders, Parenting, Support Groups, Counseling, Crisis Intervention, Children’s Advocacy.

Salvation Army of Grayson County

Location: 5700 Texoma Pkwy. Sherman, TX, 75090

Services: Men’s emergency shelter, valid photo ID required, 2-night stay. Casework and emergency financial assistance provided.

Hours: Intakes are Monday-Friday at 4:00pm. Approved returning residents may come back to shelter, 5:30pm-9:00pm daily.

House of Eli

Location: 123 S. Ricketts, Sherman, TX

Services: Provides transitional housing services for men, ages 18-21, who have been involved in the juvenile justice system, who are aging out of foster are, or who are homeless. Also provides a vocational training program, which includes Landscaping, Demolition, and residents can use as an employer when applying for future jobs. Residents can stay a year to 1.5 years and a family environment is created for the Resident’s. The residents receive group therapy, individual therapy. North Texas Youth Connection

Location: 1602 E. Lamar St. Sherman, TX.

Services: Provides emergency shelter services for young teens (ages 10-17 ages), homeless teens that are typically referred by CPS. Refers 18 and up to outside resources. Teens that are housed in the shelter can receive individual therapy. Also provides safe place training.

Texoma Family Shelter

Location: 331 W. Morton, Denison, Texas.

Services: Serves Women of ages 21 and up & Men 35+, and Families

Hours: Shelter is open 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

This is a program shelter for the homeless that provides case management. Clients can stay up to 21 days for free, must obtain employment, continue to work on their goals and work plan to become self-efficient and independent. Must have a valid photo ID. Does drug tests. Does not accept those with criminal history (10 years), or sex offenders. Open Arms Shelter

Location: 111 S Center St. Bonham, TX

Services: Program shelter for ages 18 and up. Must have a valid photo ID. Pass a drug test. No criminal history or sex offenders.

Hours: 8:00am-8:00pm, Monday-Friday
